Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Only Retro ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and Apple's Standard EULA (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If you do not agree, do not install or use Only Retro.
Only Retro is a general-audience app suitable for ages 4 and up. If you cannot enter a binding agreement under applicable law, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use and accept these terms on your behalf where required. The 4+ content rating does not replace applicable rules on contractual capacity.
License and permitted use
Subject to Apple's Standard EULA and applicable law, you receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use Only Retro on Apple-branded devices you own or control, under the App Store usage rules. Do not redistribute or resell the app, infringe another person's rights or circumvent its protections. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law. Any future Android release will be subject to the applicable platform terms.
Photo editing features
Only Retro provides 50 original film looks, live camera preview, still-photo capture, import through the system photo picker, undoable edits, saved recipes and full-resolution export to Photos or the share sheet in JPEG, HEIC or PNG format. Subject detection and editing run on-device. Feature performance and available system capabilities can vary with your device and operating system.
Shutter drag is a simulation
The shutter drag effect applies simulated motion to a still image while preserving the selected subject with a mask. It is not a real long exposure, a video recording or a change to the camera's physical exposure duration. Detection can miss subjects or produce imperfect edges; use the mask brush or apply motion to the whole photo. Results are creative effects, not a guarantee of optical accuracy.
Your photos and responsibilities
You retain your rights in the photos you capture, import and export. You must have the rights and any permissions needed to photograph people and edit or share images. The developer receives no license to your photos merely because you use the app. Review images and metadata before sharing, and keep your own copies of work you want to preserve.
Local storage, deletion and exports
Projects contain an original copy, edit recipe and masks in the app's private device storage until you delete the project or uninstall the app. Temporary renders are cached and cleaned automatically. There is no account, backend or cloud sync, so the developer cannot recover deleted projects. Deleting a project does not delete source photos, exported images or copies shared with others. The Remove location export option is on by default and removes GPS metadata from the saved copy, not the source.
No in-app purchases or subscriptions
Only Retro has no in-app purchases, auto-renewing subscriptions, advertising or tracking. No account or remote AI service is required to edit your photos.
Original looks and manufacturer independence
The film looks are original creative designs. Only Retro is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any film or camera manufacturer. References to film-style photography describe an aesthetic and do not promise an exact reproduction of any manufacturer's film or hardware.
Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect subject masks or recovery of lost files. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights, statutory warranties or Apple's obligations under applicable law.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Istanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law, without limiting any mandatory consumer forum or protections available where you live. Updates to these terms will be published here with a revised date, with any additional notice required by law.
End User License Agreement (EULA)
Only Retro is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your right to use the app on Apple-branded hardware. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you (Apple App Store Review §3.2).
Updates
We may release updates to Only Retro. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. We are not obligated to maintain backward compatibility. Critical security updates may be applied automatically by Apple's App Store.
Apple is a third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Only Retro or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. In case of any failure to conform to applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). Apple is not liable for any other claims, losses, costs, or expenses attributable to Only Retro.
