Only Retro is built and maintained by Mustafa Baykal. Email mustafabaykal91@gmail.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, app version and a short description of the issue. I aim to reply within 1–2 business days. Please avoid sending private photos, faces, location metadata or masks; use a non-sensitive example if an image is needed. No project files are sent automatically.

FAQ
Camera permission was denied. How do I enable it?
Open iPhone Settings → Apps → Only Retro → Camera, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera, and enable Only Retro. If the control is unavailable, check Screen Time or device-management restrictions. You can still import selected photos without using the camera. Only Retro does not need microphone access or record video.
Why was my photo not saved to Photos?
Saving needs add-only Photos permission and enough free device storage. In iPhone Settings → Apps → Only Retro → Photos, allow adding photos, then check Settings → General → iPhone Storage and try again. You can also export through the share sheet. Importing through the system picker does not require full photo-library permission.
Why was my subject not detected, or why are the edges wrong?
Detection can struggle with low contrast, blur or overlapping subjects. Use the mask brush to mark or refine the person or object you want to keep sharp, or apply motion to the whole photo. On iPhone, Apple Vision performs detection on-device; photos and masks are never sent to a server.
Is shutter drag a real long exposure?
No. It simulates motion in a still photo and uses a subject mask to keep your selected person or object sharp. It does not hold the camera shutter open, change the physical exposure duration, capture video or record audio. You can also use it on an imported photo.
Which formats and export destinations are supported?
Export a full-resolution copy in JPEG, HEIC or PNG to Photos or through the iOS share sheet. JPEG is widely compatible; HEIC support can vary in receiving apps. Export creates a new copy and does not overwrite your source photo.
How do I remove a photo's location before sharing?
Leave Remove location enabled in the export options; it is on by default. It strips GPS metadata from the exported copy. Only Retro never requests location permission, but imported photos may already contain GPS data. The source photo and the project's original copy are unchanged. If you disable the option, existing GPS metadata may remain.
Can I undo an edit or reuse a look?
Edits are undoable, and you can save a recipe to reuse your settings. A project keeps an original copy, edit recipe and masks locally so you can return to it until you delete it. Export a copy of any finished image you want to keep outside the app.
How do I delete my data or close my account?
There is no account. Delete a project to remove its private original copy, edit recipe and masks, or uninstall Only Retro to remove all private app storage, saved recipes and cache. Temporary render files are cleaned automatically. Source photos, exported images in Photos and shared copies remain until you delete them separately. The developer has no project copy to recover or delete.
Does Only Retro work offline, and is Android supported?
The iPhone app processes photos and detects subjects on-device using Apple Vision; editing does not need an account, backend, cloud sync or remote AI service. These pages describe the iPhone app. If an Android version is released, Google ML Kit Subject Segmentation will run on-device, but Google Play services may first download its model and Google's separate SDK terms will apply.
Are the film looks associated with a film or camera brand?
No. Only Retro's 50 film looks are original designs. The app is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any film or camera manufacturer.
